You don't have to. Or, add a nitter instance to your nostr client and you wont have to. Unless your client doesn't support nifty privacy features.

How do you do that?
I got it setup in noStrudel's privacy settings. You just add a nitter instance and NoStrudel reformats the links on your timeline automatically
nitter is broken afaik
