Maduro is gone. Venezuela's problems are not.
That's the headline. And it's true — and it's also a test. Getting rid of a tyrant was necessary. It was not sufficient.
What comes next is harder: real elections. Independent courts. Constitutional guarantees. A CNE that actually counts votes. An economy rebuilt for Venezuelans — not extracted for a kleptocracy.
The people chanting in Caracas on May Day didn't chant for an economic manager. They chanted for democracy.
That's what we're building. Not a new Venezuela for the connected elite. A new Venezuela for everyone.
