On an individual level, no … skin color is not holding you back. Systemically speaking however, poc have historically had fewer opportunities presented to them and have been consistently oppressed by an inherently racist system. There’s a reason 80% of ceos are white. Calling out a racist system IS within your control and absolutely worth it.
