When you are trying to raise kids and everywhere you look you find the elevation and worship of things that are so banal and crude, yes, it produces a dismay and moral panic, rightfully so. It's so fiat and cheap.
People born gay can recognize their mental birth defect and choose instead to use their genitals as they were intended. First step is recognizing the error.

You can't pray the gay away, just as you can't pray downs syndrome away. You can only pray for guidance and strength to follow the right path, rather than be indignant and double down on the wrong path.
