The identities of people who were sources of information were revealed and put in danger or worse. In my opinion JA had good intentions but went about the work in the wrong way. Hopefully we can learn from his mistakes.

No, they were involved in something they didn't want anyone to know about. He exposed it, which is why he is facing punishment from a superpower.
What you are saying is a well-coordinated psyops to justify their actions against him. It's not even part of a court case against him.
