because it's cheap and easy?! nostr is technically very simple including every important relay is publicly known and paid for by volunteer operators and neither permissionless nor private. ethical hackers might just do that to point out how weak the system currently is to provoke evolution.

That gate for DDos are open on purpose. Attacking an open gate by design is illogical. Devs put it there in the first place. Will wait for the next plan on how to policy relay. That should be fun. Brillant plan they have image
