Seems to me running decentralized nostr apps on a centralized OS is a oxymoron. There should be a bigger push to let people know to make their next mobile device be a Pixel phone with GrapheneOS. What is happening in France is likely going to happen else where too.

Apple has probably already filed the paperwork for all encryption techniques implemented in common standard libraries.

But that's US exports, not French imports. That's still a leftover from the 1990's crypto wars.

If it was US exports, wouldn't it be required to do that for all stores? Why specifically French?
