Apple makes us declare that we are using standard encryption techniques before we push to the app store in france. Kind of sus that they only have issues with non-standard encryption. It’s not clear if nip04 or nip44 quality for the exception.

Apple has probably already filed the paperwork for all encryption techniques implemented in common standard libraries.

But that's US exports, not French imports. That's still a leftover from the 1990's crypto wars.

Last time I published an app, a few years ago, it was required for all stores, I didn't see anything France specific.

there is now a france-specific popup for iOS apps when you click publish in appstoreconnect asking about the type of encryption used in the app
