No. I used to believe evolution was a lie before I had looked into it. I also believed in Jesus. Then I started educating myself.

Also you said you don’t assume things but then did twice in this reply. I’m really not trying to argue. When someone becomes emotional or argumentative while they explain their opinion it just shows how they don’t have much to stand on logically. But I have spent a considerable part of my life deeply looking into this topic. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong - but I would be surprised if you had genuinely looked into the theory of evolution before discounting it.
