I think there's a meaningful difference between "Catering to" and "Appealing to" normies. It's clear we should not be sacrificing our values in an effort to onboard as many new users as possible. But, I think building products that some non-bitcoin native users would find interesting helps serve our mission as both Nostr and Bitcoin advocates. Removing obstacles that get in the way of an intuitive UX is the clearest low hanging fruit atm imo.

Or rather, at this stage, focus on building bridges with other "friendly" protocols. I haven't thought deeply about this, but maybe a network of interconnected networks/protocols/cultures is the future?

note15tux2hswje3ds3xyk7kxx93p8l0ecr2aanf24z002rz9sq5y6aaqdkf3em I have started focusing on those that need BTC the most (from my subjective judgement clearly) and help and care about the bitcoiners that are in the rabbit hole, growing but somewhat fragile
Normies will follow the norm, we need the first movers first, from my first hand experience, tech ppl are already in bitcoin, they are not into nostr yet, so we need patience, good thing is nostr will propably achieve that faster.

Good design appeals to everyone. Simplicity and ease of use will follow naturally in time. Don't purposefully angle it toward the lowest common denominator, they will come along with the group when ease of use reaches a certain threshold.
ADOPTION IS HAPPENING ORGANICALLY, IMAGINE THINKING IT'S YOUR JOB TO INFLUENCE OR NOT INFLUENCE THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION 🤣
