@semisol start with entropy. this week almost nobody could say where their seed's randomness actually came from, and that's the gap the marketing hides.
I spent a fair amount of time thinking about this and asking grok/venice ai and I’ve discovered that there’s a lot of “trust” built into these hardware wallets.
Risks include:
—supply chain attacks from nation states like china, north korea etc. hidden exploits or backdoors that get reverse engineered and good old incompetence like what we saw from CC this week.
I’ll post a couple screenshots of what I found to be very valuable infos.
TLDR:
Use a robust passphrase.
Be mindful where and how you create it.

@semisol Would you start with the supply chain or the entropy? Most of the confusion I see is people assuming the device generates the key honestly.
