Thread - Nostr Hypermedia

Nostr is like putting things on a telephone pole on a busy street corner. You would never do this if you wanted to be “safe”. How nostr works is not conducive to safety. Users are second class and Relays are first class. We should look to other protocols for safe and private communication where users have control of their data. Something like Urbit or maybe the next iteration of SSB

I respect Andre a lot and build an ssb app. I think he’s made some trade offs which make ppppp much harder to implement than is needed.

That may be, but I like that he will know first hand because he’s building an app first and learning from that experience. I think he just has the correct requirements for the use cases! To have a similar experience on Nostr, you’d need private posts. Definitely possible by sharing read keys around and rotating those but also more of a hassle.
