Our empathy toward others does nothing to satisfy the just wrath of God toward cosmic treason. Jesus is the alone propitiation.
Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except by me." (John 14:6). Then he overcame death to prove his words are true. No mere man can do that.
