I just walked out of a store, headed to my vehicle and a guy came up behind me yelling "miss! miss!" He was right behind me when I turned around. I didn't have a chance to say anything, he immediately said "oh shoot, I was going to tell you something but I forgot what I was going to say" ...so I check my pockets for my keys (just in case) and said "how about Happy Holidays?" He mumbled something, I gave him a sort of what expression, and he went on to tell me about finding Christ in 2011 when the holy spirit moved through him in the form of a ruptured hernia, subsequent surgeries, and his recovery. He quoted John 7:38 and told me my castle awaits. He turned to walk away then turned back and said "My name's Gary. What's yours?" I told him my name, he told me it was nice meeting me, then jogged back into the store. I yelled " you, too, Gary" but he never looked back. I was having a completely normal day today. 🫠

Isn't it odd how what Gary said is seen as basically normal, but if it were more like: ... he went on to tell me about finding Doug the Magic Rock in 2011 when the holy sediment spirit moved through him in the form of a massive kidney stone, subsequent surgeries, and his recovery. He quoted JRR Tolkien, an elementry geology text book, and something about crystal healing then told me my hand carved marbel palace awaits. all the sudden he's just a loon who's off his meds.

I don't know. I've had strangers tell me some very crazy things. There is no such thing as normal, so I treat them all the same. I tell my stories of these people because I don't know what else I'm supposed to do with this information. This one got weird the moment he decided to chase me down in a parking lot. It almost wouldn't have mattered what he said.

dawn, to me, it is fine to share stories. i like to hear stories about people's lives, i like to hear stories about people's dreams at night, i like to hear stories about people's aspirations, or a hard day, or a bad day, or why it was bad or hard. can learn a lot from people. and im saying this as a person 😊 that's why i share too you have an audience that likes reading your words.

This kind of thing happens to me a lot. I sometimes get a feeling that these stories aren't meant for me, if that makes sense. So I try to tell them to pass them along and maybe get them one step closer to where they are supposed to be heard. Sometimes I call someone. Today I decided to post about it. He followed me out of a store, it was important enough to him, to do that. But I enjoy posting & reading stories, too. We're such interesting critters, us humans 😅
