GM #nostr - its day 8 since I put my back out and I'm nearly back to normal movement now. The fact that it was totally avoidable bugs me, because it was utterly my own fault. Don't do stupid shit that's gonna get you hurt folks, unless you're getting something worthwhile out of that stupid shit.

What did you do?
It's really daft - I sat in a chair and twisted my spine to turn and talk to someone who was sat to my left and slightly behind me. I was sat like that for about 10 minutes. An hour or so later, I couldn't walk or even stand up straight. It's still not right, but I am recovering. Totally avoidable amd I should know better by my age π
Damn man. Hope you'll get better soonπ«.
I'm also starting to feel my age.
Not at the part yet when I throw my back out by turning to talk someone, but getting there π
Even funnier, a couple of years ago I was walking quite happily down the road, I coughed and suddenly couldn't walk or stand up straight - that single cough put me out of action for a fortnight π
How old are you man? π€£
Only just turned 46 - I think the fact that I'm fairly tall probably doesn't work in my favour tbh π
Ok, damn. Yeah, I'm reaching 40.
Except for the hip, I don't have many other issues π
I still feel young, but my body has a tough time keeping up sometimes
