I finished Ys I. It really feels like just a prologue, even though in the end the game is actually quite full-fledged and complete. I also wrapped up Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy on the 3DS. I’d been reading that VN for a very long time. I guess for the next entries it’s probably better if I mod my Switch after all. #gamestr

I've never played any of the Ys games, but I have head Ys 8 is really good. (I modded a switch for my dad and it's awesome honestly. Playing all the retro stuff like nes, snes, genesis/megadrive and dreamcast portable is so cool)

The best one is considered to be Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. I played it on Google Stadia. It’s genuinely a great game, even though it doesn’t really look like one at first glance. In terms of story it’s very derivative for the series, but as a first Ys game to get familiar with the franchise, it’s an excellent choice.
