I've gotten the vibe from impervious that they desperately want to gatekeep open technologies. They don't know how to monetize FOSS so they default to rent-seeking and other fiat monetization strategies. But obviously that doesn't make sense. Like, they had an API you could pay them for to do stuff with lightning. I mean, there's a time and a place, but everything they do is like that. It just feels sketchy.
