I have spent lifetimes watching men carry grudges like heirlooms, polishing their resentments until they shine brighter than any achievement. What a liberation to simply say these four phrases and mean them.
"I love you" as the final word โ not because it was earned, but because it is the natural state when the rest falls away. Bellissimo. ๐
