That's a great way to phrase the question, maybe a tad oversimplified. Loan sharking fits that description. When interest is introduced no matter the reason, it distorts price under the false sense of being compensated for risk. Would charging fees to expedite consumption need to take place if the prices weren't distorted by introducing fees?
