From my tradifi financial advisor friend:
“I’m just thinking anytime the government gets involved they can do what they need to do to create more bitcoin if bitcoin does take over. Our government can’t stop spending, which is why bitcoin was created I understand that I just believe they’ll always find a way.”

So many people know just enough sound bites to FUD normies, while sounding insane to us.
My reply:
“I’m not trying to sound demeaning but i don’t think you fully understand how unstoppable bitcoin really is
It doesn’t matter what the government decides on a fork or even if they straight up “outlaw” bitcoin
They have no way of shutting it down
That’d be like trying to stop the internet
Sure there are takeover risks that would slow adoption in the short term but none of the risks are end of days for bitcoin
It’s kinda too late for that”
Until he does the work, it will likely bounce right off of him, like it does most everyone until they do the work. I know I didn’t do the work until I decided I needed a better alternative.

To beat the same old dammed drum
Expect something else

Funny part is, he has more Bitcoin exposure than most people
I’m close to getting him to self-custody, but he hasn’t made the jump yet. He’s got exchange claims for now
