I have no idea exactly how I'd react in a similar situation, but I'd imagine dropping right back to Barter would be the easiest near time solution, but then using Gold in the ongoing absence of the Internet would be the next best bet.

Short term, metals maybe in that situation, but your security risks go up the minute you are seen spending gold. Your trust system has to be very strong.
Which means trade, such as it'll be, will remain very small scale and limited, and there's no way out of the inevitable poverty. I wonder if the difference between Iran and here in the UK would be that our infrastructure would be too dependent on the Internet to cut it off - the costs would be too high for everyone including those welding that power. Perhaps that's the case in Iran too and they'll yield eventually.
They won't cut off the internet long term. Without the devices people can't be tracked or monitored. That means a quick move into a cbdc, which I wouldn't be surprised to see in Iran soon.
If the regime survives this then yeah, maybe. They're going to ha e to do something as their economy was already in tatters.
The regime is a front. There is a good chance Europe descends either into continental war or a slow cold death in the next few years. No idea where that leaves the UK. But likely in a state of permanent lockdown.
Things will be different to what we've known - but that was always part of the plan
Yes, and it doesn't seem like most Brits have read 1984.
