The irony of AI is how it appears to be taking out the middle class, when in fact what it's doing is taking out big business, big government, and the war machine.
In the end there will be just a few really big super computers with some kind of general intelligence running in then running most of the business in the world for fractions of a cent. No upper management, no middle management. And there is nothing anyone can do about it.
