You do not need to use the Primal Wallet. We support Nostr Wallet Connect which allows you to use any lightning wallet that supports NWC to zap on Primal.

I like Primal as a client and use its native wallet. It's pretty easy. Find settings and scroll down to zaps. Set you default zap at the top with what you want to say accompanying that zap. Then when you see a post you want to zap, tap the lightning bolt below the post. Hope this helps. Good luck. Welcome to Nostr btw.
