Yeah, I saw that too and felt the same way. Except, it’s already over here in the states. Our identities are already known by the companies we interact with, who will readily hand over information to the state without a warrant. The genius act allows the tokenization of bank accounts. We don’t need a CBDC, because each bank will have its own, backed by treasury bonds. Why create a need for passing laws through a laborious legislative process when the authority can be given directly to the banks?
The nation state is already dead. It’s just not apparent yet.
