I used the tea set I made to brew charcoal-roasted oolong in gongfu style! As predicted, this did improve the strongly smoky flavor in my opinion. An interesting coconut flavor note appeared!
After a rinse steep for the tea pets, the first real steep was the best. I think I let the second steep go a little long and it was kinda bitter. I’ll learn with practice!
Also learned that my bamboo bread slicing board, despite seeming pretty solid and having a superficial resemblance to a tea tray, is NOT actually watertight 😅
