I had a stormy upbringing that has carried on into adult life (I haven’t talked to my mom in 4 years). to compound that, I struggled with social anxiety. I had few friends and often felt like an outsider. it was only in the punk rock scene that i discovered a sense of belonging. surrounded by other misfits, I found acceptance and understanding without judgment.
