Why would you use BTCPay? Is there an overwhelming reason for this?

Gives the user options on how they want to pay you, on-chain or lightning. Since you’re only expecting small tips, you could also just list a QR code of your Lightning address. Adding BTCPay to your website is better IMHO because it can do more, but maybe you don’t need all that.
