Good morning Nostriches! A habit our family started 3 years ago is this: Whomever wakes first, turns on worship music in the house. Especially on mornings like today when I’m up early cause my brain turned on earlier than it should have…the words being sung are a comfort. Whether we realize it or not, we fight NOT against flesh and blood and the rulers and principalities of this world! No…we are in a spiritual battle! How are we to fight if we do not put on the full Armor of God? Worship music is one way we have chosen to put a hedge of protection around our family…around the home God has entrusted to us. —- As I type that I’m reminded how Simple talking to God is and how complex man wants to make it. I’m also reminded of the seemingly obsurd requests we bring before Him through Christ…what we ask Holy Spirit to do; obsurd maybe to us and most likely to onlookers. Example: the last few gardening seasons my garden hasn’t done well. The beginning of this season I walked around the beds on several occasions and prayed blessing over the soil and seeds planted. And this season I had one of the better harvests that I’ve had in a few years. I don’t need a Master Gardner certification when THE Master lives inside me.
