I understand bitcoin, but it’s not so easy, when you earn in pesos and need that money to live until next month 😢 unfortunately nobody around me talk about #bitcoin (family, friends, coworkers). People here think it’s a scam, or don’t trust on its volatility, and nobody has money to risk, others think they must buy a whole bitcoin. Everybody here prefers to buy dollars as a store of value (because dollar always increases its value in pesos), invest in a fixed term deposit (>150% APY), or buy long-term goods to try to lose less.
It’s a store of value but not a good one. Nothing holds its value better than bitcoin
And we are not even talking about confiscation or nationalization resistance. If you hold your own private keys, Not one person in this earth can take it from you. Not even the most powerful person can
Yes, of course, I think people use gold here only when they have too much money and they don’t know what to do with it. Just an small percentage of our population. But media here only talk about “crypto” or bitcoin when it’s related to a crime or a scam.
Best advice I can give you, worry about yourself first and let the others think whatever they want.
Most will never understand bitcoin until is too late
Me dá uma tristeza isso. Os mais pobres são brutalmente castigados com tamanha desvalorização da moeda. A Argentina está em um pesadelo e parece estar longe de sair dela. Que Deus tenha misericórdia da América latina.
