It affects his image basically zero if a tiny group of people feel like he's been disingenuous. There's a strange cognitive dissonance that happens. Look at his shit-coining. He can talk to Bitcoiners and because he says, I will do this thing, everybody applauds and supports him. And on the backside, he's shitcoins. And everybody says, oh well, it can't be helped and excuses him. The moral of the story is, once they have your vote, it is extremely difficult to say, oh, I made a mistake and speak out loudly against the person that you've already supported.
