We attended the same public school.
A few of us have maintained friendships since then.
Kids from the reservation(s) took a boat or a bus into town.
In previous generations the kids attended residential schools away from home.
While living in a remote village, I went to high school and stayed in a dormitory ( at a public school not an Indian residential school)
