Public executions would be healthy when done to the right people. Imagine the guy who killed Iryna on the subway a few days ago. Society seeing him brought to justice brought swiftly and publicly would be cathartic and a strong move in restoring faith in our systems. The alternative is 20 years in the prison systems, funded by millions of dollars of tax payer money, only to be lethally injected and few hear about it.
