Nostr CAN handle digital collectibles because of the cryptographic PUB/PRIV key nature but it's not about making collectibles to the spammers, it's about leaving a mark on a system that everyone can use. Nostr is just as immutable as Bitcoin but because you'd have to actually naturally generate value in a social marketplace, they don't use it.
