lightning network node-runners feels like a social network to me. just a bunch of enthusiasts building channels between each other to improve payment connectivity and decentralization on the network. like the early internet and autonomous systems.

Most of my channels are to podcasting 2.0 podcasters, V4V musicians and fellow enthusiasts and I love it.
peer2peer payments is a foundational social activity. Doing it via your own node or maintaining channels in support of other… it’s all jiggy
