While she waits for the next round of contractions, she's cleaning her teets and stimulating the milk supply so it's ready for the pups when they're born. It always amazes me how they just instinctively know what to do. This is one of the important traits we select for. If she turns out to be a bad momma and can't care properly for her pups, she'll be out of the Legionarius program. The genes must be protected rigorously if we want to maintain those good instincts.
