I don’t know why nobody explained me this until I was in my 40s, and I don’t know who needs to hear this … but … the hammery thing you do on the guitar isn’t because you have this virtuosic talent, it’s because you can’t get your finger there in time so you just wait a 16th or so and hammer it in there like you did it on purpose.
