The normalization of gambling in all aspects of life, and at all ages, feels like the beginning of the downfall of society.
The blackest of black pills.
I refuse to participate.
Bitcoin is no gamble. The orange pill is our best chance for the future.

We have currently entered the degenerate gambling phase of the US crony capitalism fiat experiment.
It seems like everyone I talk to about Bitcoin these days seems interested at first because they think that I know that the price is about to go up or something, like I'm giving them inside information on a winning trade.
When I tell them that yes I think it will go up in the long run, but day to day no one has any clue what's going to happen to the price, they immediately tune out.
They are only looking for day to day, or week to week wins in their gambling (Robinhood) portfolio... Nothing else matters.
It's also why polymarket and Kashi are exploding in popularity. It's crazy times we live in these days. Makes me kinda sad actually.

Feel similar about gambling.
Can't say I've tried gambling with my Bitcoin, unless you count a brief shitcoin phase, but the idea does not appeal to me.
Well said
Absolutely right. Gambling is a spectrum of poor -> wealthy.
The wealthy never gamble, down the spectrum toward Poor, always do.
And hypocritically, I DO believe gambling is a tiny but essential part of any “investment portfolio”. Speculative Assets and all that. Just keep it in check.
I learned this from a bond-manager. Something came up about insider trading and he said to the effect “when you’re rich, you never invest WITHOUT inside information, otherwise you’re gambling.”
