Exactly. Nostr is perfectly positioned for the small-following and independent artists and creators who would never have a chance to monetize on other platforms, and to do so in a more authentic and human way that lets them remain true to their art, which is something most indie artists want anyway. You can develop a niche community or following here and actually get supported for doing so, if they are the supporting type 😂

Well that last bit is just life. If you have an audience of Mr. Krabs clones, then you are going to struggle no matter WHAT your product. Same if you just suck and no one likes your work. But at least there isn’t an artificial barrier between me and my audience paying me here. BOOM. THERE IT IS. Feel free to pay me if you like it. DONE. I like the Wavlake monetization model too of “no gatekeeping, we just take our small fee of the top when forwarding”. As long as that fee doesn’t get overbearing, it’s a simple strategy.
