#askNostr Wondering if anyone here acquired and tested the newest and greatest RaspberryPi 5... I finish testing with start9' startOS, which already works perfectly with the 4, now moving to CasaOS for some more serious fun. This toy is, thanks to the economics mechanics, becoming a decent device. I prefer miniPCs but this is getting already close in performance... Specs: - features a 64-bit quad-core Arm Cortex -A76 processor running at 2.4 GHz. - It includes an 800 MHz VideoCore VII GPU, supporting OpenGL ES 3.1 and Vulkan 1.2, and offers dual 4Kp60 HDMI display output with HDR support. - 16 GB of LPDDR4X-4267 SDRAM, depending on the high end model. - 2 x USB 3.0 ports (supporting simultaneous 5 Gbps operation), - 2 x USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ support, and a 5V/5A DC power input via USB-C. - 40-pin GPIO header, - a Real-Time Clock (RTC) powered by an external battery, and an on-board power button. (Finally...) - supports PCIe 2.0 x1 interface for fast peripherals - 2 x 4-lane MIPI camera/display transceivers. - measures 85 x 56 mm
