Get more live streams in your Nostr client! Introducing *Livelier* – The Livelier bridge brings you *live streams from open web directories to Nostr NIP-53*. Discover new streamers in any compatible Nostr client, and chat with the live streamer on their own local streaming server wherever they are. Livelier launches today with a bridge to Owncast Directory (of Owncast 11k GH ⭐️). So far we have bridged 130+ users 😍 and maintained 50+ concurrent live streams 🎬 on the bridge for several days. This is actually a good idea & better idea. Someone needs to go infiltrate the owncast code and implement nostr so we can forward our streams to it.

Owncast directory is not a very sexy UI, IMO Nostr streaming clients are nicer to use. But Gabe, the lead maintainer, hopes to make it easier for users to make their own directoriess o perhaps you can make one? He's very responsive on Matrix chat, and provides this POC

Really cool to read you're in good communication with the Owncast folks, it really is a fantastic tool for non coding self hosters, it's been really solid for me. Will take a proper look at this tomorrow. Today's another long day for me workwise (I'll be happy when I get some proper downtime.... so I can work on my own stuff for a bit).

Not sure if that was me but I was working with Owncast a little over a year ago. Not much to see in my fork though. It just supported login and partially NIP-53 before I moved on to another streaming software. There may have been someone else doing this too I forget.
