New addition to the bush tucker survival garden: Youlk
Youlk (platysace deflexa) is a native Australian bush food, produces a mass of yummy little tubers that you can harvest without killing the shrub itself, just dig them out of the soil.
Ate my first today, raw they taste like a sweet carrot with a slight pine/eucalypt hint and have a crisp texture. I'll bake some to check how they taste tonight.
