It's their choice to make it public. People say "I'm muting you" all the time. It's called "free speech"

It's useful information to other people. It's exactly like telling my neighbors there is an annoying salesperson in the neighborhood. They can choose to ignore the doorbell or not.
You're crying about hoe humans have always dealt with annoyances. That's a you problem.
