Truth is a tricky business. Many people seek agreement over accuracy. Covid was the greatest example of this in my lifetime. My ex-wife was a nurse during covid... she knew the cloth masks did nothing to protect people against infection, but she wanted me to wear one because it "made people feel safer". I wasn't willing to agree with such logic. I had a doctor visit in 2023, and the Dr came in and asked me to put a mask on (I didn't wear one into the clinic). I asked him if he thought the masks prevented infection... he said no... so I asked him why he wore one... he said that wearing a mask was a requirement to remain employed. In other words he was willing to deny a medical truth to be in agreement with an inaccurate policy. Thus, I'm all up for truth seeking (that's my thing) but I also know that many people aren't willing to go against the grain when the truth begins to hurt.
