Plebs are f*ucked, between Microsoft, Google and Apple privacy is already a luxury only for the technicality savvy individuals, and even for them the fight is constant and tiresome, we need affordable and easy to use alternatives for the plebs. It doesn't help me to have a great opsec when I communicate with my friends and family all using the most insecure tech available... Educating most of them is a lost battle

Sad but true My strategy is a bit radical but is working. They can't reach me... Fortunately Signal Messenger exist, which is the only app I have been able to push to most family and friends, but better options like Session App or SimpleX are just out of the question for better privacy. Session App have been doing better with their approach and communication, calling the seed words "password" and the Session ID, although cryptic, not that hard to understand. Out of the box is fully secure, no additionally configuration needed, it is already onionized. They are, additionally, self funded with their token, therefore they do not depend on handouts from "benefactors" or VC that ultimately can compromise the project.
