That’s actually how I got my Umbrel, I used Start9 diy forum to build my server, but at the time people on the forum were saying not to use a ssd with the startOS and said use Umbrel with ssd and only use microSD with start… now that I know that was bad advice (not that I don’t like my Umbrel), I think I’m going to diy a second server with startOS.
