The mother of my son was a morris dancer. (True Story😳😂). It's actually remarkably popular, you'll see bus loads of kids, on a Sunday, parked outside leisure centres etc, doing competitions.

They have modernised it somewhat though, they use pom poms instead of sticks and may poles, lest it decend into wanton violence.
