no soft fork needed is not a marketing point

interesting that ark doesn’t require any soft forks, i need to refresh my memory on ark (read about it few months back) btw the whole #ark website, logo and moto seems to have changed the new site doesn’t mention/talk about privacy or being anonymous via ark, AT ALL why ? has anything changed in the background or will it still work as intended on the privacy part ? thanks

Why website specifically? Privacy is not central to the Ark protocol but something that can be added depending on the implementation. You do get privacy benefits from passive observers by default though.

I wouldn’t rely too much on early details or announcements regarding Ark. Though the core principles remain, most of the implementation details were kind of half baked. The idea of coinjoining every batch is not supported by current implementations.

It’s not. Ark is just a protocol. Anyone is free to implement it with the features they see fit. If anyone wants to accelerate progress of a coinjoin feature they are free to contribute a pull request.

It's a much stronger marketing point than "we need BIPX to enable this"

I have not kept up enough to be excited, but these are big propositions. I look forward to the possibility while keeping my expectations low. A lightning experience without channel management seems too good to be true at this point. I hope to one day open my nostr feed and see the great minds agree that the solution is here and it is sound.
