It is exciting, and it's a good time for me to look at it as I'm trying to make my own DM app. Inkan can be used among other things to cleanly authorize and revoke device-associated keys, so it goes together well with a DM protocol that requires each party to store messages and metadata on some specific device. Hence I'm looking at the double ratchet.
