Just to add to your list: a Brazilian AI researcher and specialist (former google, former meta) was denied a visa to the USA. No reason was given, but since they asked for detailed information about his research and published papers, he suspectes it is related with him being a foreign AI researcher. He also attended a conference in Taiwan last year, which might have had some influence in the visa denial decision.
