It's a risk for public relays, but the private whitelisted relays would continue to persist. It's an interesting advantage nostr relays have over other networks.

Tbh I think we'll feel this next summer/fall..

If all of my followers started following millions of people, my nostrelites relay would probably go down 🤣

Certainly a problem we hope for.

A lot of relays would go down. Some clients would become unstable. I think responses & approaches to the increased usage would quickly arise & proliferate.
