🌴🛶 Slowing down in Hohenau – local style
The last few days we’ve taken it easy here in Hohenau. A bit of rest, a few small trips, and a taste of what local life feels like.
We visited nearby beaches where you literally drive right onto the sand — and everywhere you go, there are open huts for anyone to use. Just bring some food, fire up a barbecue, and enjoy the riverside breeze.
While walking along the water we got a real surprise: a stingray in the shallows! Definitely not something we expected, and it made the day a lot more memorable 🐟😅
We also visited Capitán Miranda, had ice cream, and stumbled upon the local Dutch-speaking clubhouse. Sadly, no Belgians to chat with this time — but we’ll be back 😉🇧🇪
